This original scratchboard illustration of Joe DiMaggio by illustrator Bill Russell, c. 2003 was used in an article for the San Francisco Chronicle. DiMaggio, nicknamed “Joltin’ Joe” and “The Yankee Clipper”, was a famous baseball center fielder who played his entire 13-year career in Major League Baseball for the New York Yankees.
