The purchase of art by BILL RUSSELL from this online store does not transfer rights of that art by the collector who purchases the art. The collector has the right to display the art, but unless you receive explicit permission from BILL RUSSELL, you do not have the legal right to scan or take pictures of the art for commercial use, like making postcards of the art and selling them.

Sale of visual works are governed by the Visual Artist Rights Act of 1990 (VARA), stating artists retain powers of attribution and disavowal after the ownership of the actual tangible work of art is in the possession of a collector or institution.
